In the cozy Restaurant Posten you can enjoy the lunch menu as well as the evening menu.
In summer there are tables, chairs and a bar on the tovet, where delicious dishes can be served and delicious iced coffee can be drunk. In the evening, the heat lamps and cozy blankets extend the length of stay until late at night.

The old post office at Torvet in Esbjerg is one of the most distinctive buildings in the city - with its completely unique architectural style - even when compared to the post offices of the time elsewhere in the country. The post office was designed by the architect Ulrik Plesner, who received help from another well-known architect and designer - Thorvald Bindesbøll - for the interior decoration. For Thorvald Bindesbøll - who is part of the Danish cultural canon - the post office was one of the last works before his death in 1908. Some of its interior details were removed during various renovations but restored during later restorations. When the post office was built in 1907 and 1908, Esbjerg was still a young, pioneering town with no architectural features and no historical buildings. Perhaps for the same reason, the architect Ulrik Plesner used elements of medieval buildings, castles and churches when he had to draw the lines at the post office.Regardless of the architect's original intention, the post office helps give Torvet in Esbjerg a fantastic atmosphere and patina. When looking at the post office, the building makes a Gothic impression: a gable roof and gable roof and a dramatic facade facing the square. Two stepped gables characterize the main facade, while the stylish curved windows with small windows and strong, white frames complete the impression.Despite its aging appearance, the post office housed innovative interior solutions when it was completed at the turn of the century. As far as is known, it was the first Danish post office with an open counter connection between postal customers and staff. The post office, one of the most valuable and important buildings in Esbjerg, has been a listed building since 1983.www-posthuset-dk.translate.goog/om-posthuset/?_x_tr_sl=da&_x_tr_tl=de&_x_tr_hl=de&_x_tr_pto=nui,sc
