Originally a fortified moated castle, of which the surrounding walls and a tower from 1574 still exist. The castle that now stands was given a baroque makeover from 1709, of which parts of the old complex are still preserved in the north wing. The south wing was built from 1719. As the former property of the Imperial Baron von Seckendorff, Weingartsgreuth Castle has been owned by the heir, Baron von Seckendorff-von Witzleben, since 1962.
