The Ritzleben village church is a late Gothic fieldstone building with a striking west tower. It probably dates back to the 14th century, as suggested by examinations of the roof structure. Late Gothic wall paintings depicting scenes from the life of Jesus were discovered inside during renovations in the 1960s.

The church has a gallery with an organ and inscription, as well as three rows of pews. Two steel bells from 1919 hang in the tower, replacing the original bronze bells that were melted down during the First World War. Restoration work has been carried out in recent years, including the replacement of the bell suspension and clapper, as well as the restoration of a leaded glass window.

Since 2022, bird nesting boxes have been installed in the tower windows. The church is located in the Ritzleben district of the town of Arendsee in Saxony-Anhalt and is a typical example of a village church in the Altmark region.

The small fortified church, built from field stones, was probably built in the 12th or 13th century. In 1961, during a renovation, late Gothic wall paintings were discovered here.
