Langenleiten used to be a branch of the parish Premich. In 1820 (a year earlier in the representation of the parish) the place became an independent parish. According to the parish, the church was essentially built between 1776 and 1781. The eastern part of the nave and the choir were built in 1910. The church tower is a new building from 1962 because the old church tower was dilapidated (Wikipedia).

From Wikipedia: The 32 meter high church tower is in the west. Like its predecessor, it has an onion hood. The nave is divided into the early classical western part with a gabled roof and the neo-baroque eastern part with a mansard roof. The eastern part is wider and higher than the western part. The choir forms the eastern end of the church.

The church doesn't look that great from the outside, but it's nice inside. The church is open, pilgrims to Jokop can pick up their stamp here.
