From the vicinity of the 19th-century municipal cemetery, the 15-meter-high obelisk on the crest of Glockenberg Hill is visible. Today, the view from the obelisk includes, among other things, the new science park of the University of Hanover. Originally, one could see from here along avenue-like lawns as far as the Witch Tower and the bailiff's house, or rather, the monastery building. This created a triangular axis within the garden. The path to the obelisk is the steepest in the park.
