Brick field stone with barely legible inscription: "I serve". The memorial was erected in 1935 during the National Socialist era. At that time it bore the swastika, which was hewn out after the Second World War. Originally, the reason for the construction of the monument was the dike for the march between Wittdün and Steinodde by the labor service. The labor service emerged as early as the 1920s from a student labor camp movement. In the summer of 1935, 216 labor service men were working on the 1.6 km long dike on the Steinoddermarsch.
