The Varreler Bäke, also called Klosterbach in its upper reaches, is a river about 41 kilometers long that flows through the federal states of Lower Saxony and Bremen. The river rises south of Bremen and flows through the towns of Bassum, Kirchseelte and Heiligenrode. From the Stuhr district of Varrel, the Klosterbach becomes the Varreler Bäke, which then flows through the Diepholz district and finally through Bremen before flowing into the Ochtum in the Bremen district of Strom.

The Varreler Bäke runs through a landscape conservation area that was placed under protection in 2016 and covers about 94.1 hectares. This area lies between the Stuhr districts of Heiligenrode, Varrel and Kladdingen and the Weyher district of Kirchweyhe and offers valuable habitats for numerous animal and plant species.

Historically, the Varreler Bäke served as a location for watermills, one of which still exists in Stuhr-Varrel. The river is also popular for recreational activities such as cycling and walking, as there are numerous scenic routes along its course.
