General Marvá Avenue is a wide avenue located in the center of Alicante. This avenue has a central, landscaped promenade, similar to a boulevard. Together with Doctor Gadea and Federico Soto avenues, it forms a major urban axis that stretches from the foothills of Mount Tossal to Canalejas Park and the city's port.
The avenue is named after the military engineer José Marvá y Mayer. It is a very central area and is surrounded by landmarks, such as Plaza de los Luceros and the monumental Jorge Juan Stairs.
