The Schöppenstedt outdoor pool, which opened in 1960, has a 50 m swimming lane - where else can you find this in the Wolfenbüttel district? - and a 5 m diving platform. The pool is divided into a swimmers' and a non-swimmers' area. A separate children's pool can also be offered. The pool water is heated to up to 26° by a combined solar heat/gas heating system. Also worth highlighting is the wonderfully large lawn of 25,000 m² on a south-facing slope.
