Best Hikes to St. George Fountain (Nackerte Schore), Burglengenfeld

Tips

  • The imposing city fountain from 1995 shows the - four meters high and completely naked - bronze figure of a "George", who defeated a dragon.
He thus attacks the central motif of the Burglengenfeld coat of arms, which was assigned to the city in 1542 on the occasion of the city survey by the Count Palatine Ottheinrich and Philipp.
Too bad that too much traffic over the market place disturbs the beautifully landscaped location.

  • The fountain is also called "Nackerte Schore"

  • The motif of the dragon conqueror is impressively staged.
