In 1690, a chapel dedicated to the Holy Trinity was built on what was then the "Gaisberg" in Burglengenfeld. In 1742 this chapel was enlarged. It continued unchanged until 1835, when the chapel tower was struck by lightning and the building burned down to its foundations.
