The former narrow-gauge railway (1000 mm) Nagold - Altensteig (Altensteigerle) was the first narrow-gauge railway of the Royal Württemberg State Railways.
The line length was 15.11 km and was put into operation in December 1891.
The closure for passenger traffic took place in September 1962 and 5 years later for freight traffic.
Unfortunately, nothing can be seen of the once extensive station complex. Only the station building, used by a bakery, remains.
On Bahnhofstrasse, near the roundabout, the "Altensteigerle" monument commemorates railway history.
