The Hohnhorstpark is Lehrte's green lung. It extends from Manskestrasse in a north-easterly direction up to the Hohnhorstsee. The oldest part was laid out around today's Schützenplatz from 1896. From there it has been expanded again and again. The largest and most idyllic part is south of the New Cemetery. There are wide lawns, small bodies of water and beautiful trees. At the beginning of September, the now legendary blues festival takes place here on the "Rodelberch".
