Bike Touring Highlight
Vrouwenpolder is a village in the municipality of Veere on the peninsula Walcheren in the Dutch province of Zeeland. The village has about 1200 inhabitants and is located between Oostkapelle and the Veerse Gatdam. This dam was the first dam in connection with the delta projects to shorten the coastline.
The village on Walcheren was built around the year 1300 in a gated area. It owes its name to a mysterious portrait of a Virgin called "Our Lady of the Polder". The village played a major role as a place of pilgrimage for a long time because of miracles that took place there.

Very nice little place.
There you can take a break in various restaurants and cafes during a bike tour or just go to the beautiful beach.
A bungalow park is also connected to the village.
The wide beach with the lookout tower is absolutely worth seeing, from where you can see the city of Veere in the distance in good weather.
