The merchant John Blacker bought the site on Krähenberg in 1790 and had an English landscape garden created, which was continued to be maintained by the subsequent owners Roß and Goßler.

The park has been publicly owned since 1924. There is the Goßlerhaus, a classicist white building that was built in 1794 by the Danish architect Christian F. Hansen and later rebuilt.

It is currently rented to the Hamburg Conservatory, which uses it for musical offerings.
