This great funicular goes from Righi down to the old town. Partly it runs in the tunnel. An experience!

The AMT Zecca-Righi Funicular is the main connection between the center of Genoa and the hills, precisely between Largo Zecca (Piazza della Nunziata, about 8 minutes from Principe railway station) and the Righi, from which the main paths originate headed towards the Genoese fortifications. The journey takes 12 minutes. Departures are scheduled every 15 minutes during peak periods and every 20 minutes during off-peak periods and on holidays. The funicular is free for all citizens residing in one of the Municipalities of the Metropolitan City of Genoa; otherwise, the cost of the ticket is €2.00 and is valid for 110 minutes on the entire urban and provincial AMT network, from Levanto to Varazze; All other AMT tickets and passes are also valid except the 4-journey ticket.
