The Church of San Matteo is a Catholic religious building in the historic center of Genoa on Piazza San Matteo in the Molo district. Your parish community is part of the “Centro Est” vicariate of the Archdiocese of Genoa.

It overlooks the square of the same name, which was the center of the settlement of the Doria family in the Middle Ages, and represents perhaps the best preserved corner of medieval Genoa. The church is still officially the Abbey of Doria today.
