The ancient cobbles of super steep Gold Hill in Shaftesbury is famous for its starring role in the popular 1970s advert for Hovis bread. In the advert, a boy pushes his bike to the top of the hill to deliver a loaf of bread before freewheeling back down. But the real challenge is pedalling all the way to the top - the views, cafe and kudos are well worth the effort!
