Neptune fountain
With its baroque connotation, it is a very scenographic element of street furniture in the center of Piazza Duomo
In the second half of the nineteenth century, the Trentino sculptor Andrea Malfatti carried out a restoration taking into account the state of decay of the sculptures. The original statue of Neptune is in the courtyard of Palazzo Thun, seat of the town hall. today's Neptune, on the other hand, is a bronze work created in 1942. In Elberfeld there is a copy of the fountain made in 1895 by the sculptor Leo Müsch.
