Hiking

In a document that Heinrich III., Son and successor of Conrad II., Issued on August 28, 1044 in Bamberg, not only were purchases and donations confirmed to him anew, but he was also given permission to build a castle. In the center of his possessions, on the Wolfsstieg near Friedrichroda, from where he could "survey" his property, he built the Schauenburg (Wikipedia).

Hiking

We were up here with lots of snow in winter. Not entirely harmless, but doable. Fantastically beautiful view from up there.
