The site was used for decades as a place for loading and unloading coal and materials useful for the operation of industries and the construction of the city. Near the railway line, here was a first-class multimodal industrial site.
Neighbors of this former industrial zone in decline, the districts located around the basin are today the subject of a development strategy. The objective is to redeploy residential and productive activities there via innovative forms of diversity.
