Hiking

Originally, Northeim had a 1,750 m long city wall with 48 city wall towers, 15 ramparts and four additional bulwarks as well as a later rampart-moat system. The three city gates were secured by gate bulwarks. Today, approximately 880 m of the city wall with tower remnants, bulwarks at the rampart and the Upper Gate, as well as parts of the moat, still remain.
