The memorial for those who fell in the wars was erected in 1900 on the initiative of the Warrior Association for those who fell in the wars of 1866 and 1870/71. In 1919 it was expanded to include those who died in World War I and in 2002 two granite steles were added to include those who fell and missing in World War II. The memorial has been a listed building since 1985.
