The source is a fountain in Kamen, which was designed by the Kamen artist and goldsmith Gregor A. Telgmann. Inaugurated on June 25, 1993 together with 3,000 citizens, it is now the center of the traffic-calmed and renovated market square. It consists of a disc-studded granite column and an ensemble of six bronze object groups on a circular floor plan, representing six cultural dimensions of the city of Kamen: the source, technology, art, science, crafts, and sports and games.

The old market with its fountain is not far from the Seseke cycle path. Here you can take a good rest.
