The tallest building on the island, completed in the late 1960s.
It was closed in 1991 for economic reasons and burned out in 1994.
From July 2004 it was reopened after reconstruction.

Up until 2000, all events (e.g. festivals) in Arrecife took place here. As there were more residents, an exhibition hall was built at a different location.
After a redesign, the Parque Islas Canarias (Canary Islands Park) was inaugurated in July 2004.

Most of the photos that have been uploaded here have nothing to do with the Parque Islas Canarias. The actual park is located directly between the Gran Hotel and the Real Club Nautico and contains the sculpture collection and an event area
