Tips
The trail is currently (10/2024) not recommended! The first and last third of the hike goes through the part of the island destroyed by fire. A very sad sight - but much worse are the strong, unpleasant burnt smells that are constantly in the air. You should also note that October/November is hunting season and you are constantly surrounded by hunters and the sound of gunfire

On this narrow concrete staircase stairs, you will overcome about 50 meters of altitude and thus the only real climb on the entire hike at the Levada do Bica da Cana.
