The trail is currently (10/2024) not recommended! The first and last third of the hike goes through the part of the island destroyed by fire. A very sad sight - but much worse are the strong, unpleasant burnt smells that are constantly in the air. You should also note that October/November is hunting season and you are constantly surrounded by hunters and the sound of gunfire
