There are many partly mystical stories about this chapel, but I believe that it was simply an ancient backdrop for one of the GDR fairy tale films by DEFA that were not produced far away in Babelsberg. The whole building consists of waste bricks that were deformed during the firing.

Nevertheless, this small building in the dense deciduous forest is simply adorable. It has even been secured in recent years because it was just about to collapse.
