The border tower was built in the early 1980s. The upper floor was equipped with signal and communication systems. It was therefore of central importance in monitoring the border section. The original equipment is no longer there. A staircase now leads to the roof of the tower and offers a beautiful view of the Elbe. Information boards provide information about the tower and the former border.
