In the Derenbachtal this well-developed asphalt bike path leads from the Schmelztalstraße (L86) to the Bröltal (B478) or vice versa. The path is approx. 3 m wide and is flat in places, slightly rising (depending on the direction of travel) and a long ascent at the level of the village of Derenbach to the Schmelztalstraße intersection. The path also leads past the old Winterscheidermühle, which was previously used as a restaurant and hotel.
