Former Daun Train Station

The (former) station Daun is a well-known fulcrum for mountain bikers in the region. Here one meets often, with connections to all routes, e.g. the Maare-Moselle Cycle Route. In summer there is catering, public toilets and free Wi-Fi (Trier freifunk.net) are available to everyone. There is also a flea market regularly held there, in parallel, the railway friends Vulkaneifel have opened a model railway, which shows the original condition of the Dauner railway station along with the railway lines. This is housed in the train station itself, as is the House of Youth and a bicycle rental. The station is currently in no way in its function in the operation, for years one quarrels over the use of the Eifelquerbahn, which would urgently need to be restored.
