Hveragerði is popular with tourist buses because of the greenhouses, where you can drink coffee under banana trees. The real treasure of this region are the hot springs, which not only heat the greenhouses, but with the Hengill geothermal area also make for a very interesting scenic walk. Easy hike on well-marked trails.
