The Eckfelder Stolzbachweiher is an artificially created lake that was created in the early 1980s. The site was originally a very little used and swampy meadow. By building a dam and channeling the stream after the dam, the land became partially usable. The facility is owned by the local community of Eckfeld and is used both as a fire pond and as a fishing pond. The pond has been leased to the Trier District Sport Fishing Association since 2016.
There is a beautiful, large refuge by the pond. The area is freely accessible and invites you to take a break.
The Eckfelder Stolzbachweiher with its old sandstone fountain is also a popular photo opportunity.
