Picnic area with fountain near Volloch

Heavy weather was on the way. Only one woman fetched her daughter and both prayed at the edge of the village in the last house. The thunderstorm erupted right over the village and the masses of water washed everything away and also took the mockers on the dance floor with them. The only survivors were the woman and her daughter.
Once upon a dark night, an innkeeper returned to his village from the Haardt in his carriage. Then he had to stop at Nieder-Hoch, because a procession was going ahead of him. It was the Vollochers who prayed for their salvation.

Unfortunately, the legend of the floods can no longer be read exactly, but see for yourself a very idyllic place.

The seating is (unfortunately in summer) without shade. But the fountain provides cool water to compensate :-)
