    Here at the Bergwachthütte (also called Bindsteinhütte) there is a large, public barbecue area. There are also many, also covered, seating.
    The kiosk in the cabin serves drinks and simple items such as coffee and cake.
    The cottage is usually open from Easter to early October on weekends and public holidays from 9:30 am to 7pm.
    On bad weather days, the hut can sometimes remain closed or closes earlier.
    Toilets are available.
    The hut can be reached from the car park in Anhausen in about 20 minutes.

                          Bindsteinhütte in the Eselsburger Valley
                          In the middle of the “Eselsburger Tal” nature reserve in Herbrechtingen, our Bindsteinhütte stands idyllically in the shadow of the striking Fischer or Bindstein rock and opposite the old watermill of the same name. Several well-maintained hiking trails lead through the valley to the hut, which is usually managed by our members on all Sundays and public holidays between Easter and the beginning of October. In addition to all kinds of cold drinks, pretzels, fresh coffee and small confectionery, we also offer you a rustic snack. During your excursions through the valley, take a break with us and watch the climbers on the Bindstein rock. Several fixed tables and benches invite you to linger under the shady roof of the hut. If the weather is good, we also provide plenty of beer table sets for you. The children enjoy the large play area or the sandpit, while the adults relax with a cozy chat with friends or acquaintances. The members of the Herbrechtingen mountain rescue service put a lot of passion into the care and maintenance of the simple wooden hut, which has neither running water nor an electricity connection. With your visit, you are not only supporting the work of our local level, but at the same time you are also maintaining a decades-old tradition in the “Täle”. Please note, however, that our hut and the public barbecue area are located in a nature reserve and there is a ban on motorized vehicles on all roads! The walking time from the parking lot on the Brenz between Anhausen and Herbrechtingen is approx. 20 minutes and is also easily doable with a stroller.
