The view of the church is just beautiful ... here you can take nice photos but the surroundings are also very beautiful.

      Eichendorffstrasse 6, 26180 Rastede

In 1949, Frerich's 4,000 m2 plot of land was acquired on Petersilienstraße, today's Eichendorffstraße. The groundbreaking ceremony took place on August 21, 1950, the laying of the foundation stone on August 27, the topping-out ceremony on October 21, and the first service was celebrated on December 17. The St. Mary's Church was built on the model of the Dominican Church in Vechta-Füchtel. It is 28 m long, 11 m wide and has around 250 seats. The tower is 18 m high and carries 2 bells weighing 16 and 12 centners with the tones G flat and A flat, which are deliberately tuned to the bells of the St. Ulrich's church. The bells bear the inscription: Maria, "Queen of Peace, pray for us". They were cast by the Otto company in Bremen-Hemelingen. The organ was built in 1951 by the Alfred Führer company from Wilhelmshaven in just 4 months.
