The museum is located in a boat captain's house, Johanne Grønbech's Hus, which was built by captain Thomaas Grønbech around 1860.

The museum is housed in a skipper's house, the so-called Johanne Grønbechs House, built around 1860 by sailing ship captain Thomas Grønbech. In the museum, you can learn about the history of sailing ship trading and Løkken as a seaside resort.The first room depicts the development of Løkken throughout its history, with a focus on the sailing ship trading period. A vivid model of the ship trading conditions in Løkken is located in the center of the living room. The old kitchen and scullery date from around 1900.
