The Løkken pier was built between 1927 and 1931 and renovated in the 1950s.
Its primary purpose is to provide shelter for the fishermen who pull their boats up the beach. The Løkken Pier project is laying the foundation for new activities in the pier area and strengthening the connection between the city and the sea. In 2015, the pier was reopened after extensive renovations.
