On 16.1.1945 all those seeking protection came through a bombing hit and life in this air raid bunker. Since the bunker was completely destroyed and filled in, a community grave was created here and a memorial with the names of the victims was built. This place is part of the "route against oblivion" that runs through Erkelenz.
