The Old Town Hall is located directly at a crossroads. Next to it is a small resting place. Red framework and roof.

In addition to the many small and old town halls in Ried, that of Klein-Gerau is also a great half-timbered house. Other well-preserved half-timbered houses from the past are preserved in the village.

The historic town hall in Klein-Gerau was built in 1729. It was the center of the village's municipal activities and at the same time the home and workplace of the community baker.
On the night of April 17th to 18th, 1932, a fire broke out in the town hall, destroying the entire attic, parts of the upper floor, and the clockworks of the bell tower and bell. The town hall was rebuilt in the same year and placed under monument protection.
A feature of the historic town hall in Klein-Gerau is the envious head, also known as "the brat" or the "wild man," which peeks out quite inconspicuously from under the small canopy on the gable with its white face and light blue eyes. The envious head was carved by a carpenter from Klein-Gerau after the fire in April 1932. The old envious head from 1729 now hangs in the stairwell of the historic town hall in Klein-Gerau, which had fallen onto the street with its burning front gable. It was restored with great skill.
For several years, the Federation of Expellees has been using the historic town hall in Klein-Gerau as a local history room. Today and in the future, the historic town hall is used for meetings, lectures, local history gatherings and as an exhibition for the violin maker's workshop.
Exhibits from ancient times are on display in the violin room. The Federation of Expellees offers guided tours on request.
The historic municipal archive is housed in part of the premises.
