Although it is only 18 meters high, it is still outstanding in Fischland: the Bakelberg. It is located between the Baltic Sea resorts of Wustrow and Ahrenshoop and can therefore be easily integrated into a walk. From the “summit” you have a fantastic all-round view. What's special: Fischland is a very narrow strip of land, so you have a great view of the Baltic Sea and the Bodden from Bakelberg. There is no summit book, but there is a table with a bench for a break. While you let your gaze wander over the Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula and its adjacent waters, you can think about which shore it's time to go next. You don't have far to go on either side.
Since the artists' village Ahrenshoop is not far from Bakelberg, you will also find different artistic figures on the mountain from time to time. As an art lover, we recommend a stop at the golden art museum at the entrance to Ahrenshoop.
