A scenic climb up to Melchboden via many switchbacks. The Zillertal High Alpine Road you're on here is not only well-paved, but also subject to tolls, meaning it's relatively quiet. It's 13.8 kilometers long with an average gradient of 10.4 percent. Best done in the morning, as it's very sunny!

An absolutely fantastic descent through breathtaking scenery. You do need good brakes, though. But it's really fun to ride down here. The road surface is good, and you can enjoy beautiful views of the valley. Most of the route is sunny. I rode through Ried in brilliant sunshine. That was great, as it was mostly wooded and shady.
