    The Rastkogelhütte in the Zillertal Alps is a hut of the German Alpine Club. From Hochfügen you can reach it on a simple mountain hike. Day hikers come here to enjoy the tasty meals. For ambitious summiteers, it continues from here to numerous peaks of the Zillertal Alps. In the first place of course is the eponymous Rastkogel, but also the Roßkopf, the Kleine Gilfert and the Marchkopf are popular summit destinations.

    The hut is open in winter from early December to Easter, and in summer from early June to late October.
