The thermal power station on the Friedensbrücke is currently being extensively modernized. According to a press release from Würzburger Versorgungs- und Verkehrs-GmbH, this represents a further milestone for the reduction of CO2 emissions and thus for climate protection in Würzburg. Since September 2020, the heat accumulator has been lifted into the interior of the thermal power station as the heart of the modernization project.
