After the end of the war, the chocolate producer Goldeck acquired the factory site, and from then on, chocolate bars were produced instead of soap bars. However, after nationalization and several mergers, including the Leipziger-Süßwarenbetrieb (Leipzig Confectionery Company), the chocolate factory fell victim to the fall of the Wall, as Western competition was simply too fierce. The Pittlerstraße site was closed.
