Who is or was once in the Rosental. Does not come around at the old wobbly tower. 😅 You definitely have to be up there. Because only then can you see the landmarks of Leipzig (skyline). From the north.

The climb is worthwhile - at least in good weather :)

Located in the middle of the Rosental observation tower, it offers a fantastic view.

A bit shaky, but the climb is worth it - at least in good weather :)

Especially in good weather, but also so, the skyline of Leipzig is beautiful to watch at sunset. In addition to the Fockenberg a popular destination of photographers. 😊👍🏻

The tower is open 24/7. Also does not cost entry. So good prospects.

    Monte Sherbino

In the northwest of the Rosental is an artificial hill. In the years 1887 to 1896 here 120,000 m³ (60,000 horse rides) were dumped household waste to 20 m high Rosentalhügel ("Scherbelberg"). This was greened in 1895 and built in 1896 with a 15 m high wooden lookout tower designed by Hugo Licht. The tower burned down in the wake of the heavy bombing on 4 December 1943 completely. Since 1975, a new, 20 m high lookout tower designed as a steel construction has stood here.
