The Kuhsee is an artificially created lake in the Hochzoll district of Augsburg. The name Kuhsee arose from the fact that urban herds of cows were led to water at the old backwater that was connected to the Lech. The backwater of the Lech was already popularly known as the Kuhsee. Wikipedia

Hi there,
I doubt whether the Kuhsee is now a highlight, but what is very surprising is that such a great lake can be found in the middle of a big city like Augsburg. Furthermore, the Lech flows next door with a dam on which you can cross the Lech. At the other end, the 1974 Olympic Games were reportedly held in rafting. At the Lech there is a snack bar with a great beer garden and at the lake a restaurant with a lake view. All in all, you should stop by on a nice day and take the time to walk around the lake and enjoy the lake view with a cozy drink.
