Lörsfeld Castle is located on the western edge of the Erft lowlands. Originally, the square manor house made of bricks with a pointed arch frieze and four round corner towers with curved tower domes, the one-storey extension with stepped gables and the three-winged outer bailey in front were completely surrounded by water. In the course of lignite mining, the castle then suffered from the consequences of the groundwater lowering. So the ditches became mostly dry.

The castle was extensively renovated in 1990 and now houses a gourmet restaurant
