The Eberstein consists of Devonian mass limestone. Most of the lime deposits have been mined. When the quarry was in operation, around 300,000 tons of limestone were mined each year. The NSG Eberstein was expelled in 1957. The area is 3 hectares and is located in the Biebertal district of Königsberg. The protection ground was botanical, plant sociological, geological. The former explosives store is located nearby.
