About Jutta Bradtke

This time the tour went to Neuf-Brisach, a star-shaped fortress town that was built by Vauban, the builder Louis IV. The defenses are all still there, the streets as at the time of construction.
The Canal du Rhone au Rhin is almost silted up shortly before Neuf-Brisach and has been recaptured by nature. Where the Canal de Colmar and Canal du Rhone au Rhin are partly together, it is apparently partly navigable.
You drive on asphalt or very smooth, firm gravel along avenues of old chestnuts, maples, plane trees, walnuts and linden trees. Some of the trees are gigantic and probably planted when the canal was built. When the sun is strong and hot, this path from the south towards Strasbourg is always preferable to the treeless Rhine cycle path
It is wonderfully quiet and there is an occasional restaurant in one of the lock houses. The signage on the canal is exemplary. However, there are few benches or resting places.

We tried to let Komoot navigate us from the Kehler Rheinstadion according to an existing tour. Didn't work at all. Komoot kept trying to bring you back to the starting point and no longer showed the existing tour. It was the same for us on the hike on Durbach. Does anyone have a tip or Komoot has a bug here?
Very good signposting of the cycle paths in Kehl and Strasbourg. In Strasbourg there are almost continuously 2-lane bike paths. Directional markings on the cycle paths for long-distance destinations. The pace of the Strasbourgers on the bike paths is brisk. Creep mode and sightseeing or slow orientation is a bit problematic.
