    The Benther salt dome stretches from Ronnenberg to Davenstedt. The rainwater that runs into the ground at the Ronnenberg inland salt station is quite salty, so that salt-loving plants settle there. The water collected in ring lines is led through a pipeline to Davenstedt in the Fosse. 20 tons of salt are transported here every year! From the point where the salt water comes out (the black pipe in the photos), the feet do not freeze over even in winter, and the flora here has also adapted.
